Chiropractic Care

The doctors of Fletcher Chiropractic are proud manual adjusters. We utilize the Gonstead and Diversified techniques on the majority of our patients, but are also trained in Activator, Thompson Drop, Cox Flexion Distraction, Logan, and Sacro-Occipital techniques for your benefit.

Our doctors are educated, experienced, and constantly striving to stay on the cutting edge of new techniques. We will work together with you to determine which techniques fit your needs, physicality, and fears.

Our Primary Techniques Explained

The Gonstead Technique consists of focused manual adjustments applied to specific segments of the spine. These adjustments are provided based on joint restriction and determined by x-ray analysis.

The Diversified Technique is very similar to the Gonstead Technique. It is a form of manual adjustment in areas of joint restriction and spinal subluxation.

The Activator Technique is a gentle, low force, instrument assisted technique that is applied to the very specific areas that we are adjusting. Many patients who are opposed to cracking, popping, or any form of audible adjustment prefer this technique as it is soundless.

The Thompson Technique utilizes the mechanisms of our specifically designed chiropractic tables. This is a low force, gentle technique that is used to balance areas of the spine using various diagnostic checks.

The Logan Technique is a tonal technique wherein doctors put pressure on specific areas of the spine in order to realign and balance.

Our doctors are experienced with cranio-sacral techniques that involve cerebral spinal fluid flow and balance and pediatric cranial work.

Other Techniques We Utilize

Our doctors utilize a number of techniques not listed here including kinesio-taping for athletes and expectant mothers, active and interferential therapy, ultrasound, massage, and nutritional and weight loss guidance. We also use a tissue mobilization technique which is applied with a metal instrument, and is highly effective in healing, breaking up scar tissues and adhesions, and plantar fasciitis.

Your doctor will help you choose the right technique for your visit by providing you with the best options for your issues and goals. We have a wide array of effective options that will allow you to pair your comfort level with one of the techniques your doctor recommends for you.
